Memorial Day at the Beach

Today we had the most perfect weather along the coast for beach combing.
I woke up early to catch the low tide and to avoid the holiday beach traffic.
I found lots of sea glass and lace agate.
The tide pools were also bursting with all of sea life......

Happy Memorial Day!!!

We must be willing to let go

Love Sonnett

I love you
 without knowing,
how or when,
 or from where.
I love you
 or pride; so
I love you
 I know
 no other way

Farmer's Market in May

Got an early start this morning and headed to the Farmer's Market.
Bought a lot of fresh herbs, salad greens, cucumbers,
heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and summer squash.
I can't believe cherry season is almost here.

Happy Weekend!!!

Beach Find

Not exactly a heart shaped stone for my collection but it's still an
amazing beach treasure.

Happy Beach Combing!!!

F. Scott Fitzgerald

“And so with the sunshine
and the great bursts of
 leaves growing on the trees,
just as things grow in fast movies,
I had that familiar conviction
 that life was beginning
over again with
 the summer.”

Early Beach Run

Needless to say I woke up really early for the low tide and started
exploring for sea glass. I was really happy to see three rock beds.....
but sadly I didn't find a lot.
I did however find a couple of heart shaped stones to add
to the ever growing collection.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day.

Beach Run

I got the 7:00 am call this morning from one
of my fellow beach comber buddies. Four huge rock beds appeared at sunrise.
I was told to "go now" and start looking for sea glass.
Unfortunately I had a 9:00 am class and hoped that there would be
something left for me to explore during the late afternoon.
By the time I got to the beach the tide was rolling in quickly.
I managed to find a couple of great pieces of sea glass.
This is what was left for me to explore by the time I got to the beach...

and in about 30 minutes this is what was left....

and in about a hour the shore was wiped clean.

Keeping my fingers crossed for another early morning phone call tomorrow.
Happy Beachcombing!!!
