Hot Toddies

There is nothing better to drink that I can think of than a hot toddy when it's really, really cold.
The perfect combination of spirits with spices, tea and honey is so wonderful. It always hits the
spot. Of course hot chocolate is just as wonderful but I will save that post for another time.

Check out Food 52 link below on their version of a hot toddy. Really simple....

Here is my recipe!!!

Ingredients
1 oz. rum
1 tbsp honey
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 c. boiling water
1 tea bag
2-3 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick

Preparation
Coat the bottom of a mug with honey and add rum and lemon juice.
Boil water for the hot tea and steep for 5 minutes. Pour the hot tea into the
honey lemon and rum. Garnish with a few whole cloves and a cinnamon
stick.
Be creative. Try using brandy or whiskey instead of brandy? Or how about steeping mulling spices with the tea to an some extra spiciness????
Cheers!!!
