Nearly everyone I know loves chocolate chip cookies. Some love crispy crunchy chocolate chips while others love the soft chewy kind. I love the crispy crunchy kind.
Here is one my favorite recipes from Martha Stewart that I will hope you will try.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
12 oz chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Preheat the oven to 375.
Whisk and combine the flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl.
In a separate bowl beat the butter and both sugars with an electric mixer on medium- high speed for about 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in the vanilla.
Reduce the speed to low and add the flour mixture until incorporated.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop about 1/4 cup of the dough, spaced about 3 to 4 inched apart, on to parchment lined baking sheets.
About 6 on every sheet.
Place in the oven and rotate sheet half way through the baking process, until golden brown. 15 to 18 minutes. Let cookies cool on the sheet for about 2 minutes and transfer to a wire rack and
cool completely. Store in an airtight container for about 2 days.

I used a dark muscovado sugar and two kinds of Callebaut chocolate, dark and milk chocolate this time around.
